Hamabe Iron Works Founded
Hamabe Iron Works was established in 1906
in the Kushigahama area of present-day Shunan City,
Yamaguchi Prefecture.
Early 1900s
TAISHO PERIOD
Manufacturing Equipment for the Brewing Industry
The company manufactured equipment used in sake brewing
and supplied products to customers in the Kyoto,
Osaka, and Kobe regions.
During World War II, the factory was designated
for wartime production.
As the previous factory became too small
and the surrounding environment changed,
operations were fully relocated
to the present site in Minatomachi, Shunan.
Management of the company was passed
to the third generation,
continuing the family manufacturing tradition.
The business was incorporated
and passed to the fourth generation.
Hamabe Iron Works marks its 120th anniversary
while continuing to develop its manufacturing capabilities
for the next generation.
